“The Eve of Destruction” 2024
Hard to believe summer will be gone in less than two months! That means one thing, MPTA’s Annual picnic is around the corner. Once again, the MPTA is hosting the “Eve of Destruction” at Elko Speedway on Saturday, September 14th! Picnic begins at 3:30 in the afternoon as racing begins around 5:00-5:30. Once again MPTA is hosting a 50/50 number board as half of the money raised is donated to the “Survivor Fund” at the International Towing Hall of Fame and Museum and the other half goes the lucky winner! There is also a live raffle (tickets can be purchased) for everyone to enter and win many prizes including a Large Flatscreen TV, $500 Delta Gift card, Cash prizes and many other fun prizes raising funds for MPTA Lobbying efforts. Just like every year, MPTA provides DQ gift cards for the kids and big kids!
Every MPTA member receives two complimentary General admission tickets and two Food vouchers. Elko has raised their General admission tickets to $25 for adults (13yrs & over) and $10 for children (5yrs-12yrs) as 4yrs and under are free. There are only four suites this year and are available on a first come first serve basis. (4-person suite -$300) (8-person suite- $500) (12-person suite $750) 16-person suite $1,000) All come with the race tickets and food vouchers.
Of course, before the race, MPTA members can display their trucks, flatbeds, wreckers, etc. on the plaza and can be part of the parade lap. The best part of the evening is the “spectator drags”. Feel free to bring a car to race at intermission, this year, 1st place wins $300 cash and 2nd place wins $150 cash!
MPTA members are always welcome to sponsor our annual great picnic and feel free to share the information with friends, family and business partners in our towing community!
